Magnetic Diamond Laps

These lapping discs, made by Lapcraft in Ohio, USA are ideal superabrasive tools for use in grinding and polishing to generate precision flat surfaces. Use to grind carbide, ceramics, glass and gemstones. Also used to facilitate the preparation of metallographic and ceramographic specimens.

These discs have a dense population of diamond crystals electrobonded to a .032" smooth steel circular section. Discs are full-surface no-hole diamond plate. Mounts to Lapcraft no-hole steel-faced master laps and rapidly prepares rough or marred surfaces for polishing with Diamond Pacific Nova Magnetic Laps.

Available Diameters include 4", 6", and 8".

• 80 grit - EXTRA COARSE: For fastest grinding and shaping.
• 100 grit - EXTRA COARSE: For fast grinding and shaping.
• 180 grit - COARSE: Fast preforming and light cab roughing.
• 260 grit - MEDIUM: General preforming and opal cab roughing.
• 360, 600 grit - FINE: Light preforming and cab finish grinding.
• 1200 grit - EXTRA FINE: General prepolishing finish.
• 3000 grit - SUPER FINE: for a super smooth prepolish.
• 8000 grit - ULTRA FINE: for special finishes.
