Wax-Carving Pens

The Foredom Wax Carving system has everything needed to start carving wax models for your jewelry making projects. The handpiece is lightweight and extremely flexible, perfect for the controlled movements needed for fine wax detailing work.

Usage

The detachable handpiece features a super-slim and lightweight design that is comfortable to hold, and the compact benchtop control box has a precision heat control dial to precisely set the pen tip heat so you can work with a variety of wax grades from 95°-560°F (35°-293°C). You can keep it low for delicate work or turn it up for fast wax removal or carving harder waxes. Its flashing indicator light shows heat intensity and reminds you to turn it off when not in use.

Specifications

Control box measures 2-1/2"x2" (64 x 51mm), featuring a universal voltage unit which works on any voltage from 100V to 240V and removable cords for easy storage. Handpiece measures 4-1/2" in length padded with protective cork insulation to keep your fingertips cool while working. The brass tips are easy to clean and change, a great improvement over the tips used on other models. You can even alter the tips with a file or pliers to create your own custom shapes.

Power Supply

The input/output ports on this unit are easy to mistake for one another, if incorrectly placed the unit will appear to be working but will not heat up properly. Control is wired for dual 110V and 220V with a U.S. plug. Because amperage, outlets and plugs vary by location you may need a different plug to be installed by a qualified electrician for safe operation.
